$1,500.00

Beautiful stag horn grip features three brass “dots” on obverse side and standard fluted clamshell and down-turned hooves crossguard. Double-engraved slab-type blade has typical hunting scenes with hunting dogs and elk and is complete with original felt buffer pad. Overall, the blade grades excellent, with some spotting. Scabbard consists of upper and lower brass fittings with upper Scabbard fitting engraved: “Dem Konigl Forster R. Kolling in Murkonak bei Barstorf Fur besondere verdienste um den Allgemeinen Deutschen Jgd schutz verein Der Landes Verstand Edgard Graff zu Inn u. Knapphausen”. Translated: “Our Royal game warden R. Kolling in Murkonak by Barstorf for exceptional service to the National German Hunting Association the regional supervisor Edgard Graff zu Inn and Knapphausen”. Scabbard is complete with worn leather frog which has come loose to one side of stitching. This was obviously done to read the engraving as it extends past the upper portion of the leather frog.
