Paul Weyersberg, Solingen in double oval with sword surrounded by wreath TM. Gilted brass toned hilt fittings show light surface wear, with portions of gilting remaining in the recesses of the lion head pommel with red glass eyes. Obverse langet features crossed cannon and reverse langet features blank generic design with the initials “KG” professionally engraved. Black celluloid grip shows light surface wear but no damage and is complete with tight, triple-twisted silver wire wrap. Etched blade grades EX++/near mint showing light age/surface wear but, no pitting or nicks to cutting edge and is complete with leather buffer pad. Both obverse and reverse blade features generic floral design with the reverse featuring “spoils of war” in the center of the etch. Scabbard with one brass suspension band retains 98% of the period anodization. EX++.
