Description
Beautiful hand-painted Imperial Regimental Beer Stein “presented” to Johan Philipp assigned to the 2nd Company, 3rd Royal Pioneer Battalion, Munchen 1905/1907. Hand painted center motif consisting of Bavarian crest with gilded borders flanked by Munich sky line and dismounted soldier with women next to horse. Porcelain, painted scenes and thumb lift/top show very minor age/wear with inside lip showing amateur repair, but not visible from the exterior. Thumb lift consists of rampant Bavarian lion with ornate top/lid showing two soldiers embracing. EX+/EX++ (28797)
