ORIGINAL EICKHORN, SOLINGEN with squirrel holding sword stamped TM to reverse and retail mark to obverse PETER KOLB, AMBERG.  Nickel-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear and no loss to platting and is complete with red felt plug. Black bakelite grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips. Plated blade grades EX++/near MINT showing very minor runner marks and is complete with black leather blade buffer pad.  Obverse blade features central ribbon band with “Zur Erinnerung am meine Dienstzeit” motto surrounded by oak leaves and flanked by Infantry crossed rifles and helmet motif. Reverse blade features frosted etched panel with “Infantry Regiment No 41, Amberg, Bayr, Ostmark”. Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 85% of the original black enamel showing surface wear/crazing and minor paint chips to obverse/revesre. EX++ (28957)
