ACS Scales (obverse) and Alexander Coppel in arc above ACS Scales Solingen (reverse) double-TM. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show excellent detail to the eagle head pommel and oak leaf embellished crossguard with wear to plating on the highlights of pommel and crossguard. The reverse crossguard is stamped “S.Kz.  55.” (Schutzpolizei/Municipal Police Property, administrative district Koblenz, weapon number 55.). Medium brown stag horn grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips, and with Third Reich Police grip emblem properly pinned to the obverse plate. Grip plates show evidence of being cut down during refurbishing as portions of brown paste remain in the original rivet hole on the lower obverse plate. Plated blade measuring 32.9cm in length grades EX++ with runner marks/light surface wear, but no gray speckling, lifting or nicks to the cutting edge. Spine of blade is stamped with an “* over K” and is complete with black leather buffer pad. Black leather scabbard shows light surface wear/scuffing/nicks with loss of color primarily to edges, but no rips or tears or creases and no damage to the reverse stitching. Dent-free nickel-plated scabbard fittings show light surface wear with no damage to the lower ball and are complete with both retaining staples. Reverse upper scabbard fitting is stamped “S.Kz.  55.”, matching the crossguard marking. Dark brown/black leather, double-stitched frog grades EX+ showing minor wear/age, but no rips or tears and no damage to stitching. The reverse upper frog is marked with a partial stamping that is illegible.
