Medal grouping consists of Unmarked Iron Cross First Class, Unmarked Iron Cross Second Class, Unmarked War Merit Cross w/Swords, Unmarked Black Wound Badge and a “R.S.” (Robert Souval) marked Silver Tank Battle Badge. All decorations show age and wear but, no damage and are intact with hardware. Iron crosses show no rust to center black core and tarnished silver frames. War Merit Cross w/Swords shows much wear and silver finish has evaporated exposing zinc base metal. Black would badge grades EX++ showing almost no wear. Silver tank battle badge is known as the “broad pin” Souval with most of the finish no longer present. Included is a stained Iron Cross 2ND Class Ribbon showing 9 – 10 holes where the medals were hung. EX.
