Description
WKC Knight’s head TM. Gilted brass hilt fittings show light surface wear to closed crown pommel and large capstan style crossguard with faint portions of fire gilding remaining in recesses of fittings. Genuine ivory grip without wire wrap, shows light surface wear/age striations and two small chips. Long, center ridge, double-etched blade grades EX+ showing light surface wear and very minor gray shadowing but, no nicks to cutting edges. Blade is complete with red felt blade buffer pad and etched panels on both obverse and reverse featuring a central display of Imperial crown above a fouled anchor flanked at the tip end by a military and naval equipment motif of oar and spike, flags, cannon and drums with a sailing ship at the ricasso end. Gilded brass lightning bolt scabbard shows light surface wear and is complete with rope style Guilloche pattern suspension bands. Scabbard shows one dent to lower portion and upper scabbard is jeweler engraved with the “V. GULLICH”. Dagger is complete with heavily toned portepee. EX+.
