Nickel-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear to the eagle head pommel with red glass eyes and portepee ring, as well as oak leaf embellished down-turned crossguard. Reverse spine of hilt shows two spots of lifting and rust. Black bakelite grip plates show light surface wear with no cracks or chips and are complete with gold crown and “M” cipher of King Michael I (1927-1930 and 1940-1947) attached to the obverse grip plate. Nickel-plated, single-edged blade measuring 5 ½” in length shows light surface wear/runner marks and scratches to reverse. Dent-free nickel-plated scabbard with bayonet-style suspension lug shows light surface wear, but no lifting to plating. Attached to the scabbard is an original brown leather, bayonet-type frog with integral belt loop in EX++ condition. Nice original combination. EX+ (27777)
