ORIGINAL CARL EICKHORN, SOLINGEN squirrel holding sword TM. Gilded brass hilt fittings have been heavily polished although there does not appear to be any wear to the hilt/spine, knuckle-bow/crossguard, deer hoof quillon and to the clamshell. Beautifully toned celluloid grip plates grade EX++ with no wear or damage. Grip is complete with all six gilt acorn grip emblems. Unplated triple-etched blade grades EX++ with only faint runner marks and no damage. Blade features scenes of Auerhahns, stag and doe, hunting dogs, boar and hunter in forest setting. Black leather crease-free scabbard shows only faint surface wear with no rips, tears or damage to reverse stitching. Upper and lower brass fittings have also been heavily cleaned and with both retaining staples present. EX+(27538)
