Robert Klaas, Solingen kissing cranes TM. Plain, unadorned nickel-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear and no major lifting or damage. Black bakelite grip shows very light surface wear, but no cracks or chips and is complete with tight triple wire wrap. Plated double-etched blade grades EX++ showing light surface wear/runner marks and no lifting or peeling to plating, and is complete with original brown leather blade buffer pad.  Obverse blade features a raised floral motif, with a horse drawn artillery piece being led by two mounted soldiers. Reverse blade features a long frosted panel with floral motif, Stahlhelm with crossed swords and oak leaves, and dedication panel: “U. Behetbauer 13.I. G. K I.R.62”: (presented to) “name” 13th Infantry Assault Gun Company, Infantry Regiment 62. Blade retains 99% of the frosted background finish on the blade panels as well as the laurel leaf motif on the blade spine. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 80% of the original black enamel showing uniform surface wear to both obverse and reverse. EX++.
