Description
This is one of the Eickhorn “Field Marshall” series, and a welcome addition to the JRB&M sword inventory. Nice tight wire grip wrap. No chips or cracks to the grip. Beautiful, near mint steel blade. Scabbard is completely dent-free and retains nearly all of its original black lacquer paint. An example of the Derfflinger pattern sword, as well as the other nine Field Marshall swords, can be found on page 177 of LTC (Ret.) Thomas Johnson’s Volume IV of Collecting the Edged Weapons of the Third Reich. An excellent addition to any Third Reich sword collection!
