Carl Eickhorn (squirrel holding sword TM). This WWII veteran dauthter’s purchase has much to offer the discriminating German dagger collector. A beautiful even patina is obvious on all of the metal hardware. The large stag grip is truly outstanding with a well detailed Hunting Association emblem with swastika. Green leather scabbard will grade EX++. Obverse blade ricasso is etched “V.P. to P.A.B., 23 April 1945”. The initials most likely belong to two G.I.’s. One small staple is missing on the reverse upper scabbard fitting. Double-etched blade features various hunting scenes and is in near mint condition. EX++.
