WKC knight’s helmet TM. An example of this rare prototype bayonet is show on page 156 of Volume III of Collecting the Edged Weapons of the Third Reich by LTC (Ret) Thomas M. Johnson. This original Eickhorn factory photograph was located in the Eickhorn factory files by U.S. Army LTC (Ret) James P. Atwood. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show surface wear with crazing and light lifting; crossguard features RLB style, straight-winged eagle with swastika. Black bakelite grip shows light surface wear with no chips. Short model, plated blade grades VG with lifting and pitting to plating; black leather blade buffer pad is intact. Dent-free scabbard retains approximately 90% of its original black enamel which shows some wear and crazing. Only complete piece known to date. Featured in Volume VIII of Collecting the Edged Weapons of the Third Reich. EX. CONSIGNMENT.
