Made by Carl Eickhorn (see page 88 of German Clamshells and other Bayonets by Walker and Weinand). This gilted version is complete with a two-line dedication on the obverse blade highlighting that this bayonet is a shooting prize awarded on 7.10.33 by the firm “T. Rahne” in Hannover. Entire bayonet will grade near mint and comes complete with its original black leather perfectly fitting frog. Eickhorn trademark is the early double-oval squirrel. Near MINT.
