E. Pack & Sohne M.B.H. Waffenfabrik, Solingen, large Siegfried wielding hammer, Siegfried Waffen TM. This textbook Pack example features the airplane-gray hilt fittings and factory darkened scabbard with superb detail to suspension bands. The pommel features the pebbled pattern tapped into the areas between the two circles surrounding the swastika. The light yellow solid celluloid grip shows light surface wear with one small chip on the upper obverse adjacent to the pommel, but no cracks. Plated mirror-finish blade grades EX+ showing light surface wear and runner marks, minor gray speckling and one tiny nick on the lower left cutting edge. Dent-free silver-plated scabbard features dark, nearly black age patina throughout which matches the dark hit fittings perfectly. The portepee grades EX showing wear and minor fraying to the slide and upper stem. (30498)
