Uncleaned Miniature Army Officer Dagger. Alcoso, ACS scales Solingen TM. This large Alcoso salesman sample miniature dagger, recently obtained in Germany, measures 9 3/8″ overall. Silver-plated hilt fittings show dark age patina to well-detailed pommel, ferrule, and crossguard with no loss of plating. Perfectly scaled, nicely age toned orange grip has one faint hairline crack on upper obverse adjacent to pommel, but no cracks or chips. Plated blade measuring 6″ in length grades Exc+/Exc++ showing light surface wear/runner marks with some minor gray speckling, but nicks to cutting edges. Blade is complete with dark blue felt blade buffer pad. Dent free steel scabbard shows dark age patina matching exactly the patina on the hilt fittings, with excellent detail to the pebbled panels as well as the oak leaf embellished suspension bands. Scabbard shows some minor speckling to plating on edges, but no lifting or damage. Scabbard retains portions of factory lacquer on edges of shell. Nice Alcoso salesman sample dagger!
