Description
This superb, unissued sword hanger was obtained in Germany produced by the firm of, “W. Sebald & Co. Posamentenfabrik Weissenburg/Bayern Holtzgasse 31” (W. Sebald & Co. Lace Factory Weissenburg/Bavaria Holtz Lane 31). The hanger, measuring 11 ½” in length, is constructed of 1” wide gold bullion lace with a center dark blue stripe on a pebbled red leather backing. Attached to the upper edge of hanger is a burgundy, embossed leather belt loop attached to a gold plated fitting with gold plated regain chain. The lower hanger is complete with a retangular gold plated buckle with gold plated, oak leaf embellished lower clip. The gold lace, red leather backing and gold plated fittings grade Near MINT/MINT/Unissued showing only minor age to patina to gold lace with no damage to leather or fittings.
