Carl Eickhorn “squirrel holding sword” TM. This is a beautiful example of an Eickhorn pattern Nr. 189, and you can find an example pictured on page 74 of “Sword of Germany 1900-1945” by John Angolia. Blade is triple etched. The obverse blade panel reads “Artillerie Regiment No. 22 Lüneburg”, and the reverse has a bugler followed by six mounted horsemen pulling an anti-tank weapon along with two Wehrmacht eagles flanking both sides of the etching. Comes complete with the correct sword knot. This rare enlisted sword is pictured on the second page of our JRB&M newsletter, Vol. 66. Near MINT.
